It used to be a mirror, bought at Home Depot sometime in 2006. The frame was nice. The colour - green and gold - not so me. The mirror fell out and I spray painted the frame shiny black. I used it as a prop when I readied my house for sale. (Had a bidding war on house, I think it worked!)
The frame traveled with me to my apartment and then to my new house, where it was stored in the basement. I liked the frame but wasn't sure what to do with it. The black was chipping off and the frame was becoming more antique looking.
I then stumbled across this post on Annaleena's blog which reminded me of my old frame. Down to the basement I went. Up came the frame. It moved around in my dining room for awhile. But started to cause some trouble when I had it leaning against the wall (re: mobile baby).
And ta da! A new and useful purpose:
