Two projects underway

I brought out my old decor books and flipped to my marked pages.  The books are at least 5 years old but classics; they still inspire me. And there is nothing like sitting curled in a chair flipping through pages, running your fingers across the pretty settings and admiring the look of each page.

That all said, I have two projects underway:

1. burlap curtains for front window & and burlap curtains for porch windows

2. new seat cushion for ikat chair.

My original inspiration photo for the burlap curtain is from "Home Furnishings with Fabric" ~Leslie Geddes-Brown. I love looking through this book. Years later and I am still inspired by the photos and ideas.

And the second project is inspired by chairs that look like this:

from shop Terrain

You don't you see the similarity?! It is the seat cushion. Yep. The first chair is so sinkable. Love it. The second chair, while I adore the hemp organic look, its the soft contrasting cushion I really like. I have this old ikat/kilim type chair from Pier 1. Very content with it, but want a different look. SO I will tackle a new seat cushion.
